Carrie graduated from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine’s three year master level acupuncture program, with honors.  She is licensed in the state of Ohio and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Carrie first began learning about the use of complimentary modalities in the treatment of animals.  She completed over 2,000 hours of training in massage, acupressure, energy work and muscle rehabilitation for animals and humans.  She has owned and operated an animal massage practice since 1994.  Carrie has been invited to speak at national conventions and teach courses in animal massage and acupressure at such prestigious events as Equine Affaire , The Ohio State University Veterinary School and the All American Quarter Horse Congress. 

As an animal massage therapist, Carrie began learning the value of acupuncture while watching acupuncture applied to animals and utilizing acupressure within her own practice.   For example, Orca, a socialized wolf at Wolf Park,  received acupressure and massage after being paralyzed.  He recovered the use of his body and began walking again after multiple treatments. 

Carrie is a graduate of Miami University, with a B.A. in Economics, and Franklin University, with a Master of Business Administration.
